The Board of Education introduced its Building Referendum at the October 27th Board of Education Meeting. The reaction of the audience to the presentation was overwhelmingly positive.

Voter Eligibility
Residents are registered and eligible to vote if they have previously registered for or voted at any annual or special district meeting or election held or conducted during the last four calendar years preceding 2010.
Registration Information
If you are not registered to vote, you may do so at the District Office, located at 700 Osborne Avenue, on Monday, February 1, 2010, between the hours of 12:00 Noon and 6:00 PM (Prevailing Time) and on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, between the hours of 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM. To register to vote, you must be: (1) a U.S. citizen; (2) 18 years old by date of election; and (3) a resident of the school district for 30 days.
Absentee Ballots
Absentee ballots may be applied for at the District Clerk’s office in the District Office at 700 Osborne Avenue, Riverhead, NY 11901. The District Clerk must receive applica-tions for absentee ballots at least seven days prior to the vote if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, or on or prior to February 2, 2010 if the ballot is to be picked up by the voter in person. The District Clerk must receive absentee ballots no later than 5:00 p.m. on February 9, 2010.
