EVENTS ON SCHOOL MATTERS FROM THE BOARD OF EDUCATION
(September 8, 2008 - Riverhead, NY) Kathleen V. Berezny, President of the Riverhead Central School District's Board of Education, has received the New York State School Boards Association Master of Boardsmanship Award.
The award is currently the highest honor bestowed by the Association's Leadership Development Recognition Program and recognizes the extensive time, effort, and commitment required of exemplary board members who strive continually to expand their knowledge of education and skill in school district governance. >MORE

8, 2007--Riverhead, NY) The 88th Annual NY State School Boards
Association Convention was held October 25-28 in New York
City. Several members of the RCSD Board of Education and Dr.
Scricca attended.
Dr. Scricca noted, “Not only was it an opportunity for
us to attend premier workshops on district site expansion,
changing school climate, and the latest legislative issues
in education, among many other topics, but we were able to
meet school board members and superintendents from all over
the state to share concerns, problem solve, and develop information
resources for our district. We spent many hours discussing
our district’s mission, its goals, and how, as a focused
and cohesive team, we can move our district forward."
