District News Release

New Communications Solution will Enhance Emergency, Outreach, and Student Attendance Communications for the Riverhead Central School District

(November 9, 2005) The Riverhead Central School District announced today the launch of the NTI Connect-ED™ system. School administrators will have the power to make one phone call and reach all parents in minutes. The district will use NTI Connect-ED™ to periodically and personally connect with parents on issues related to state testing, parent-teacher meetings, and student attendance. NTI Connect-ED™ also supports an administrator’s ability to reach parents immediately in the event of a district or school-wide emergency.

Users of NTI Connect-ED™ can send a message in any language and at up to six phone numbers (home phone, cell phone, office phone, etc.). The NTI Connect-ED™ system will leverage existing hardware, wiring and software infrastructure to create an interactive telecommunications environment. Results of message transmission are reported back to the school to ensure measurable results.

Parents/guardians of students will receive the first “test phone” call on Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at approximately 7:30PM. In order for the system to work effectively it is necessary to provide accurate telephone numbers. For more information on Connect-ED go to www.notfiication.com.
