DECLAMATIO

(November,
2004) The
RMS and RHS Latinists recently competed against 15 schools
in the Second Annual Suffolk County Classical Association's
Declamatio held at SUNY-Stony Brook. In this competition,
Latin students prepare a memorized passage from ancient Latin
literature and then recite it dramatically to the judges and
audience.
The Riverhead students competed on two levels: Pre-Regents
and Advanced. The Pre-Regents were divided into 7 and 8 and
9 through 12.
Here's what Riverhead won:
