(October 29, 2008, Riverhead, NY) The Riverhead Central School District would like to clarify that Thomas Tellez, 36, of 10 Jessie Road, Eastport, who was recently reported as arraigned in First District Court in Central Islip on a count of third-degree sexual abuse, is NOT AND NEVER WAS a teacher in the Riverhead Central School District. As the body of an article printed on Newsday.com and in the October 28th issue of Newsday clearly states, he is the owner and an instructor at Riverside Gymnastics in Riverhead. He has no association with the Riverhead Central School District as the title of the story might have implied.
