Teachers: Due to a decreasing enrollment over the past few years, the District excessed 10 teachers during budget time. However, as the District Administration had clearly stated from the onset of this decision, approximately 15 teachers each year either retire, go out on leave, or move to another district. As of today, due to the fruition of the anticipated need to fill these vacancies, we have called back 9 of these teachers.

Teacher Transfers: In order to enhance our instructional program while being fiscally responsible, we made 20 teacher transfers in the district for the 08-09 school year. Six of these transfers were requested by the teachers, nine of these transfers were as a result of program changes and lack of student enrollment, and five of these transfers were administrative decisions. This is a normal process for a district of this size.
