The District will use this space to keep residents in the district informed of any issues concerning safety and wellness.

Sex Offender Trailers
A "Sex Offender Trailer Forum" WAS held at the RHS Auditorium on Thursday, January 15 concerning the placement of level 2 & 3 homeless sex offenders on the borders of Southampton and Riverhead -- within walking distance of schools, a library and downtown Riverhead. SEE FLYER There has been ongoing discussion in the community about this situation.

2.4.2009MRSA

On Monday, Feb. 2, 2009, the district received notification that a student at the Riley Avenue School has been diagnosed with a MRSA staph infection. (See announcement under RCSD Health UPDATE at right.)
