New Communications Solution Enhances
Emergency, Outreach, and
Student Attendance Communications for the Riverhead Central School
District
The Riverhead Central School District
launched the NTI Connect-EDĒ system in 2005. School
Administrators now have the power to make one phone call
and reach all parents in minutes. The district will use
NTI Connect-EDĒ to periodically and personally connect
with parents on issues related to state testing,
parent-teacher meetings, and student attendance. NTI
Connect-EDĒ also supports an administrator's ability to
reach parents immediately in the event of a district or
school-wide emergency. Users of NTI Connect-EDĒ can send
a message in any language and at up to six phone
numbers(home phone, cell phone, office phone, etc.). The
NTI Connect-EDĒ system will leverage existing hardware,
wiring and software infrastructure to create an
interactive telecommunications environment. Results of
message transmission are reported back to the school to
ensure measurable results.
