Notice: New Hours for Elementary and Alternative Schools

(August 2007) RCSD has new hours for its K-6 elementary buildings. Classes will begin at 8:45 a.m. The earlier start time has been created to provide more instructional time for students. Dismissal time will be the same as last year. Families will receive welcoming letters from building principals during the week of August 20-24 with the information. The district calendar and bus stops/time schedule will arrive in the mail by the last week in August.

Classes at the Alternative School will begin at 7:46 a.m.

School Hours for the 2007/2008 school year are as follows:

Riverhead High School 7:20 a.m. – 2:01 p.m.
Riverhead Alternative School 7:46 a.m. – 2:01 p.m.
Riverhead Middle School 8:05 a.m. – 2:35 p.m.
Pulaski Street School 8:45 a.m. – 3:25 p.m.
Riley Avenue School 8:45 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.
Roanoke Avenue School 8:45 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.
Phillips Avenue School 8:45 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.
Aquebogue School 8:45 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.
