Terri Peters Memorial Science Fair 2005

The Rube Goldberg (Physics) entries at the high school were as entertaining as they were ingenious. The winning device moved a ball past an Easter Bunny, from the nest under a stuffed chicken, down a tube and into a basket that then dunked an egg into a bucket of dye--instant Easter egg. The creators of this device took home the purple first place ribbon in this category (Physics-Rube Goldberg). (March, 2005)

Happy St. Patrick's Day from O'Riley Avenue School
Two first grade classes at the Riley Avenue School put on a St. Patrick's Day Parade for their schoolmates. Becky Skrzypecki's and Katy Pettit's first graders used their wagons or anything with wheels from home to make floats for their St. Patrick's Day Parade. It was green; it was windy; it was wonderful. The grand marashalls for the day were teacher's aide Joanne Byrne and first grader Mora Sullivan, who are more than a wee bit Irish. (March, 2005)
