Teachers Win 13 Mini-Grants
Nearly $14,000
Worth of MESTRACT Mini-Grants

The
Terri Peters Mini-Grant Program 2002-2003 coordinated by the
Mid East Suffolk Teacher Center (MESTRACT) is designed to
provide funding up to $800 to teachers for the implementation
of educational projects for which funding is not available
through normal district channels. Mini-grants result in the
improvement of instruction for students Pre K-12 in helping
them meet the NYS Standards. The
Riverhead Central School District won a total of 15 $800 mini-grants
for the 2002-2003 school year. The grants are being spent
on a wide range of materials ranging from books to voice recognition
software. Listed below are the names of the teachers and the
mini-grants they received.
