NINE OUT OF TEN RHS SCIENTISTS PLACE AT LI SCIENCE CONGRESS
EDGAR SAMUDIO WON FIRST PLACE IN THE JR. DIVISION
(June 9, 2010 - RIVERHEAD, NY) LI SCIENCE CONGRESS: Nine out of 10 of the RHS entries received awards! The Long Island Science Congress is an adjudicated exhibit of science projects by students of Nassau County and Suffolk County middle schools, junior high schools and senior high schools, sponsored by the Long Island Sections of the Science Teachers Association of New York State (STANYS). The students are judged on the basis of their abstract and bibliography; the originality of their
project; the delineation of the project; the design, sampling techniques, and effectiveness of their display; their oral presentation and ability to answer the judge's questions; and the validity and future value of their conclusions. Edgar Samudio won first place in the Long Island Science Congress Junior Division.
