Homecoming was very early this year,
with the festivities starting on September 26th with Spirit Week.
Students vied for most spirited throughout the week by
dressing up, wearing their class colors, showing the most spirit during the pep rally
and working on their floats and hallway displays. The seniors won the float competition.
The Juniors and Seniors were tied in the overall competition.

Royalty this year included: Freshman Duke & Dutchess: Sean Belcher & Samantha Messina; Sophomore Lord & Lady: John Andrejack & Tyisha Johnson; Junior Prince & Princess: Kevin Troyan & Laura “Texas” Asendio and Senior King & Queen: Joe Luck & Ashley Lewis.

The theme for this year’s Homecoming Parade
(Saturday, Oct.1) was Board Games:
Srs.-Candy Land , Jrs.-Mousetrap, Sophs.-Operation, Frosh.-Checkers.
Long-time Blue Waves fan and Board of Education V.P. Nancy Gassert was chosen as the Grand Marshall at this year's parade. The seniors won best float, the juniors took second, the sophmores took third and the freshman class took fourth. The week culminated on Saturday with the football game.
The RHS Blue Waves football team defeated Smithtown West 35 to 34.
