Latinists
dominate LI Declamatio

(November
2006) CONGRATULATIONS to the RHS &
RMS Latinists, who dominated the competition on November
14 at this year's 4th annual Suffolk Latin Declamatio hosted
by SUNY Stony Brook.
The Declamatio is a contest in which students dramatically
present passages from classical authors that they have committed
to memory. Thirteen schools from Suffolk and Nassau counties
participated, and a total of twenty awards were given, of
which Riverhead took half, with ten RHS & RMS Latinists
decorated for their performances.
