This note from David Spinella, the Varsity Girls Basketball Coach:

The Suffolk County Girls Basketball Awards Dinner recognized several RHS athletes for their achievement on and off the court:

Freshman, Kara Vonatzski, received a camp scholarship worth $150 which will be used for her trip to North Carolina for a team camp this summer.

Freshman, Emily Commins, received the League IV Rookie of the Year.

Junior, Sinead Cordero, received ALL-League IV honors for the second consecutive year.

Junior, Jackie Zilnicki, received for the second straight year ALL-League IV honors and for the first time ALL-County!

Finally, the team as a whole was one of the teams to receive the NYSPHSAA Team Scholar Athlete Award for their performance in the classroom, carrying an above 90 average.

The district should be proud of these girls.

Dave Spinella received the Suffolk County Girls Basketball Coach of the Year Award. I just want you to know this because it is a great honor and Dave Spinella does an amazing job with the team.
