RHS ROWERS WIN JUNIOR DOUBLE

Below is an update from Al Borghard (Rowing Crew Coach)

"Ed O'Neill and Dylan Gould won the Junior Double event at Saratoga Springs, NY on May 11. This event is for students in the 11th grade or less.

The crew won its preliminary heat setting the best time of the day and won the final by having a very quick start putting their boat ahead immediately. They were able to gain a 3 length lead and controlled the race from the front. The conditions were excellent at this fine venue.

Ed is a Sophomore and Dylan a Junior at Riverhead High School. This win qualifies them for the Scholastic Nationals at Oak Ridge, Tenn."

Unfortunately not all of the competitors are pictured. A boys novice 8, girls novice 8, and a boys novice four all won bronze medals for finishing in third place in their races.
