College Night presentaitons included:

·         Marketing the Student Athlete: The NCAA            Maze

·         The Importance of the College Essay

·         Parents introduction to Naviance software

In School PSAT Exam:

In October, 2012, all 10th and 11th grade students were given the PSAT exam at RHS free of charge.  The PSAT is wonderful resource as underclassmen begin to prepare for their college selection process.  This test measures critical reading, writing, and math problem solving & reasoning.  It assesses the ability to reason with facts and concepts rather than the ability to recall & recite them.

The PSAT acts as a practice exam for the SAT which most students take during the spring of their junior year.  It allow students to compare their skills with others across the country who will be entering college at the same time.  By taking the PSAT students are afforded the opportunity to qualify for National Merit Scholarships.
