LETTER
FROM PRINCIPAL DAVID ZIMBLER
“DISCIPVLIS CONSIDERATIS” – “STUDENTS FIRST”
Dear
Parents/Guardians,
Welcome to the 2007-2008 school year. As the beginning of a new
school year approaches, it is with pleasure that I introduce myself
as your new principal. I am eager to get the school year started
and meet all of you in person.
As the new Principal at Riverhead High School, I am extremely excited
to be a member of your educational community. In our quest for academic
excellence, there will be challenges to face and obstacles to overcome.
We will work together as a community to ensure that we do what is
best for your children, our students. We will have the opportunity
to work cooperatively to establish school-wide objectives. There
will be times I will appeal for your support for things that I believe
will benefit the entire school community.
Riverhead High School is committed to providing a positive environment
for teaching and learning that fosters students’ willingness
and desire to learn. To support this mission, Riverhead High School
will offer a balanced, well-rounded program of studies and activities
of the highest quality possible within the constraints of our budget.
I understand that student success can only be achieved through open
and honest communication between the school and community. Your
input regarding what is working and what we need to improve at RHS
will be counted on during our future together. Please ask questions
and communicate concerns so we can build a strong partnership that
will ensure that truly no child gets left behind.
I am also extremely excited to announce David Wicks as our new associate
principal and Christopher Pulitano as our new Guidance Director.
I would like to invite you to meet with us on Tuesday, August 28th
at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium.
Respectfully,
David Zimbler
Principal
"There is a brilliant child locked inside every student."
