Heroes
I always wondered who was a hero.
Was it Spiderman, Batman, or Superman?
Is it a person, who sacrifices his or her life for others,
Or a person with superpowers and a cape?
Is it the men and women, who fight at war,
Or is it a firefighter or a police officer?
Today we think that to call someone a hero
They must have given up his life for others,
To have lost a part of them at war,
Or to have died for their country.
Are those persons heroes?
Yes!
But for me being a hero,
Also means to have donated food for the food drive
To support a local charity
To help someone cross the street
When you do all these things and others,
You get the warm feeling inside
And you feel like a true hero too.
