Riverhead Free Library
Reminder to parents and students: Free homework tutoring at Riverhead Free Library is scheduled for Thursdays from 3 to 5 p.m. Mark your calendar for the following dates: Oct. 2, 16, 23 and 30, and Nov. 6, 13 and 20. Students in grades 4-12 who reside in the Riverhead Central School District are welcome. Parents are responsible for transportation. Registration is requested, so call 727-3228, ext. 132. The Friends of the Library is sponsoring this worthwhile program and a great big thanks for all they do for the library and community.
Riverhead Community Awareness Program, Inc. (CAP) is a non-profit community-based organization founded in 1979 by volunteers to address growing problems caused by alcohol and other drugs within the Riverhead schools and community. Today, CAP is the major provider of drug and alcohol prevention and counseling services in the Riverhead Central School District. >CAP Website
Council for Unity has a history of successfully promoting inter-group relations and reducing violence
in schools and communities by implementing programs in leadership development,

East End Art Center
The East End Arts Council is dedicated to bringing the arts into the
lives of children. Scholarships based on financial need are available
in all areas of study and camp.
The mission of the Cornell Cooperative Extension educational system is to enable people to improve their lives and communities through partnerships that put experience and research knowledge to work. The Dolan DNA Learning Center (DNALC) is the world's first science center devoted entirely to genetics education
and is an operating unit of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, an important
center for molecular genetics research. The DNALC extends the Laboratory's
traditional research and postgraduate education mission to the college,
precollege, and public levels. Several educational options are available
