"Catch the Wave"
RHS HOMECOMING

Homecoming was very early this year,
with the festivities starting on September 15th with Spirit Week.
Students vied for most spirited throughout the week by
dressing up, wearing colors, showing the most spirit during the pep rally
and working on their floats. The juniors and seniors were tied for this competition.
The Junior class class won the overall competition.

The theme for this year’s Homecoming Parade
(Saturday, Sept. 20) was States:
Srs.-Hawaii, Jrs.-Louisiana, Sophs.-Kansas, Frosh.-Nebraska.
The class floats depicted a Hawaiian luau, Mardi Gras,
The Wizard of Oz and diamond mining.
The juniors won best float, the seniors took second,
and the sophmore and freshman class tied for third.

There was a full slate of athletic events throughout the weekend,
which culminated on Saturday in an evening football game.
The RHS Blue Waves football team defeated Newfield High School 59 to 12.
