PHILLIPS
AVENUE SCHOOL DECKS THE WINDOWS AT McDONALDS IN FLANDERS
Two classes from the Phillips
Avenue School, their teachers and art teachers made several
gigantic holiday wreaths for one of their favorite places
in their neighborhood, the McDonalds restaurant in Flanders.
In addition, they carefully applied
glittering snow flakes to the windows.
The GOODWILL is mutual. McDonalds Manager Alex Barrell has
a soft spot for the kids and the district's schools, too.
He has a huge sign and picture congratulating the Blue Waves
Varsity Football team on their "GREAT SEASON,"
so it seems appropriate that he followed the decorating
session in this SEASON OF GOODWILL with sundaes for all
the little elves from Mr. Shilling's and Mr. Barona's classes.
The wreaths are made with repeating designs and the cutouts
of hands. You might say that ALL the kids had a hand in
making these wreaths. Give 'em a high five when you see
them!
Happy Holidays from
Phillips Avenue Elementary School!
