Harry under pressureProject Adventure

Twenty-six Riverhead High School students took to the high ropes course at Boys and Girls Harbor in East Hampton recently as part of a Project Adventure class offered by the school’s Physical Education Department.

“Project Adventure is a demanding obstacle course that engages young people in a physical, intellectual, social and emotional learning experience,” explains RHS Physical Education teacher Karen Braune, who helped organize this event. “It makes them work together, while simultaneously challenging them individually. It’s a very empowering experience!”

"This event was made possible through a grant from KEYSPAN,” continued Ms. Braune. “We are very thankful for their generous donation which allowed the students to attend this day of new experiences and challenges.”
