Past and Ongoing Issues Legislative Action Network CITIZENS OPPOSED MTA TAX ON SCHOOLS Citizens opposed this MTA payroll tax and schools were told that they would be reimbursed by the State. 2009-10 STATE BUDGET Governor's Plan for School Aid Cuts Draws Fire Many constituent groups, including schools across the state, are responding to the Governor's plan for large-scale reductions in state aid to schools.
