County Lacrosse Recognition for a Goalie and his Dad
Happy Fathers Day!
(June 17, 2010 - RIVERHEAD, NY) Riverhead High School Blue Waves varsity lacrosse goalie Kyle Hubbard recently received Suffolk All-County and Division honors at the 2010 Suffolk County Lacrosse Awards Banquet. His four-year record includes the following achievements: 2009 and 2010 Riverhead Team Captain, and Team MVP in 2008, 2009 and 2010. Kyle was a four-year starter on varsity at the goalie position, and he never missed a game in four years. He was named the 2006 Suffolk County Rookie of the Year, received Suffolk County All-League honors in 2008, was a Suffolk County showcase finalist in 2009, and, as stated above, received Suffolk All-County and Division honors in 2010. Kyle will be attending Suffolk County Community College.
And in time for Father's Day and Kyle's graduation, Kyle's dad, Tim Hubbard, received "The Service Award" -- for his dedication in starting the Riverhead Police Athlete League Lacrosse Program in 2001, which led to a lacrosse program at Riverhead High School.
