Greetings
from Mr. Enos
As we enjoy this beautiful autumn weather, I would like
to update you on a few items:
Through the hard work of Marie Tooker and George and Mary
Ellen Harkin, the “Fall Fun Fest” at Mrs. Tooker’s
farm was a lot of fun, and funds were raised to benefit
the children of Riley Ave. School. Marie, George and Mary
Ellen, and many parent volunteers put their time and effort
into this inaugural endeavor, for which we are grateful.
Reflecting our ongoing community service initiative, Mrs.
Lora Stakey and Miss Samantha McGunnigle should be recognized
for coordinating the recent “Jump-a-thon,” the
proceeds from which were presented to a wonderful member
of our Riley family who has triumphed over some daunting
medical challenges. Also, our third grade students and our
before school care pupils are launching separate efforts
to help those in need this holiday season.
On another note, as seen by the attendance at Open House,
R.A.P.A. meetings, and the Halloween Parade--
your participation in our school’s activities has
been tremendous!
We are proud of the fact that so many parents volunteer
their time to participate in the various activities at Riley.
From helping with math games to assisting in the art room,
to being a class mom/dad, we thank you for your efforts.
As you know, no school can be truly excellent without this
kind of home/school connection.
Have a happy and restful Thanksgiving!
