ENGLISH AS A NEW LANGUAGE NIGHT AT PHILLIPS AVENUE
ENL Family Night on October 20, 2016, 6:30PM, Phillips Avenue Elementary School
The ENL teachers will present the ENL regulations and provide an overview on the services that your children receive. After the presentation, parents are able to walk around to different tables that provide community support and resources. The ENL Night committee is still waiting on many tables to confirm for October 20th. So far, the following service providers have responded: ENL Boces Night School, Long Island METS, Mentoring Matters, Riverhead Parks and Recreation, as well as the District Math, Reading, and Speech departments who will share academic games and packets for parents to play with their children. There will be refreshments served and childcare is provided. Phillips teachers will be volunteers in a classroom with academic fall themed crafts. They will be assisted by RHS students (many of whom were ENL students themselves!). It is a great night!
