During the meeting a public hearing will be held pursuant to Education Law §2857(1) for the purpose of discussion in respect to the request from the Riverhead Charter School to revise its existing charter, specifically, the School seeks to reduce its maximum student enrollment to 245 students for the remainder of the current school year for consideration and approval by the Board of Regents. Regular agenda items will immediately follow the public hearing.

"A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum"
November 14, 15, 16, 21 and 22, RHS Auditorium
The Riverhead Faculty and Community Theater's production of
"A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum"
will be performed at the Riverhead High School at 8:00 PM
(Fridays and Saturdays) on November 14,15, 21 and 22.
Nov.16 has a 2pm Matinee.
Proceeds from the show will be used to fund scholarships for local students
studying the arts and to promote the arts in our local communities.
Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door for $15.00.
"The play is directed by Robert Horn and I can tell you,
in all modesty, that we have one heck of a show here.
I hope to see you in the audience."

Reminder to parents and students: Free homework tutoring at Riverhead Free Library is scheduled for Thursdays from 3 to 5 p.m. Mark your calendar for the following dates: Oct. 16, 23 and 30, and Nov. 6, 13 and 20. Students in grades 4-12 who reside in the Riverhead Central School District are welcome. Parents are responsible for transportation. Registration is requested, so call 727-3228, ext. 132. The Friends of the Library is sponsoring this worthwhile program and a great big thanks for all they do for the library and community.
