Students in the Riverhead Central School District had reason to celebration on Feb. 24 — they reached the 100th day of the school year.
In the district’s elementary schools, classrooms celebrated the milestone through a variety of activities. Students dressed as 100-year-olds, participated in 100 counting activities and reflected on what they have learned.
“In a year that has been so challenging in so many ways, it’s a joy to be able to celebrate the completion of 100 successful days,” said Bryan Miltenberg, Aquebogue Elementary School principal.
