Riverhead High School culinary students gained insight into the restaurant business on April 11 when they participated in a cooking workshop with Jess Dunne, co-owner of North Fork Roasting Company. 

During the session, Dunne spoke to the students about her business and recent appearance on the Food Network’s “Chopped” series. Students also took part in a cooking session where Dunne showed them how to make avocado hummus and leek and walnut pesto.
