At its June 19 meeting, the Riverhead Central School District Board of Education bid farewell to 22 retiring employees and congratulated 15 educators on receiving tenure.

School Board President Gregory Meyer stood to speak highly of the retirees and recognized their accomplishments before presenting them with an honorary plaque. The honorees recognized include Ann Anthony-Smith, Judith Arnone, Elva Beyer, Jacqueline Case, Elizabeth Chappell, Emily Chizever, Sharon D’Amico, Rosaleen D’Orsogna, Wayne Ehlers, Mary Fioto, Dorothy Fraser, Susan Herzog, Lonnie Hughes, Gail Jurgens, Elizabeth Macksel, Deborah Masterson, Judith Mones, Lydia Perret, Domenick Sacca, Dawn Schneider, Anna Weston and Gail Yeager. 

Congratulations were also in abundance as the board of education members officially offered tenure to 15 educators and presented each a certificate of achievement. Teachers earning tenure include Souzanna Anderson, Erika Bauernfeind, Alyssa Bergstrand, Stephanie Bonfe, Samuel Feliciano, Janna Florio, Georgia Gabrielsen, Stephanie Kaimis, Samantha Mallahy, Nicole Martinez, Victoria Muller, Evan Philcox, Emilee Raynor, Donna Ruddy and Christopher Tucker.
