Riverhead Central School District security guards received first-aid training through the Stop the Bleed program, offered by Peconic Bay Medical Center – Northwell Health, on Nov. 11 at Riverhead High School. During the program, which was organized by Mary Maki, president of the high school PTSO, the security guards learned how to properly stop bleeding with tourniquets and gauze.
