On Saturday, Nov. 17, the elementary school select choir performed at the fifth annual Go Green Festival at the Port Jefferson Village Center. The theme of this year’s festival was “Youth Building a Greener Future.” Music teachers Jessica Pastor and Andrew Frey led the choir in their performance of “Give Us Hope.” This is the second year that the Village has asked Port Jefferson students to participate in the festival.

Also in attendance for the fourth year was the high school’s environmental club. Their table displayed and promoted reusable items including stainless steel bottles and “Onya” bags. In addition, attendees were able to purchase raffle tickets for chances to win several gift baskets containing gifts from around the village.
