Students at Pulaski Street Elementary School in the Riverhead Central School District culminated a yearlong Riverhead Community Awareness Program anti-drug initiative with a spirited “Say No to Drugs” rally and luncheon on June 7.

The students – wearing white and orange “Drug Free Body” shirts –marched through the streets of Riverhead carrying signs they had designed with anti-drug messages. With the signs on display, they then participated in an assembly that featured speakers, including Suffolk County Sheriff Errol D. Toulon Jr., who delivered a keynote anti-drug message to an audience of students, staff and administrators.

The event, which is a 34-year tradition, ended with a luncheon provided by the Riverhead Loyal Order of Moose Lodge.
