Students at Aquebogue Elementary School served as principal for the day after accepting the Read to Lead invitation over the summer. The students worked together to notice and spread positivity among their classmates and recognize them for their efforts in the classroom. These young leaders engaged in a hands-on experience and learned about the different staff positions that make their school run smoothly. In addition, the students had the opportunity to sit down for an in-depth discussion with District Director of Fine and Performing Arts Jason Rottkamp. We are very proud of our interim-principals and are looking forward to recognizing the next group in several months!
