Aquebogue Sings for the ‘Stars and Stripes’

Aquebogue Elementary School celebrated Flag Day with a lively assembly featuring patriotic student performances. Second-grade students engaged in a red, white, and blue dance while singing “You’re a Grand Old Flag,” and students Joanna Kosinski and Harley Cannon performed “The Star-Spangled Banner,” the United States national anthem inspired by a U.S. flag flying triumphantly above Fort McHenry during the War of 1812.
