The deadline for responding to the 2020 Census is September 30th. Ensuring a full counting of all of the families within our district will help ensure our school district and community receives its equitable share of federal funding.
In addition to impacting the level of federal money our district receives over the next decade, the 2020 Census will determine the amount of federal aid our community receives for the next ten years for programs such as: Special Education Grants (IDEA), the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), Head Start, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Medicaid, Medicare Part B, Section 8, and Title I Education Grants. The 2020 Census also determines our representation in Congress.
Census data is confidential. By law, your responses to the 2020 Census cannot be shared with any other governmental agency.
