Colby Baran Named to Newsday‘s Top Boys Golfers

Riverhead High School junior Colby Baran was selected for Newsday’s list of the top 10 Long Island high school boys golfers for spring 2025. In the fall, Colby finished third at the Suffolk individual championship with a two-day score of 151 and qualified for the state individual championship for the second year in a row. Upon his first qualification last year, he became the second student in Riverhead High School history to ever qualify for the state individual championship and was named to Newsday’s 2024 all-Long Island team after an impressive sophomore season.
