School Messenger is the contact system we use in the district for sending notifications to our parents/guardians, employees and affiliates. With this system, alerts are sent using email, SMS text messages, and phone calls.

There’s an App for that:
Go to http://go.schoolmessenger.com to download the Blue SchoolMessenger mobile app for Apple and Android devices or use the web-based version from your Internet browser. You must use the email address we have on file for SchoolMessenger.
Sign up for the FREE SchoolMessenger app today to do the following:
- Set your communications preferences for calls, emails, texts, and more.
- Receive all kinds of school messages (school and district notifications & activity alerts, with classroom and group updates coming in 2020-2021 School Year) in one single app.
- Review your messages on any device. You will find all of these messages in an easily-accessible inbox. If you are associated with students in different schools or districts, all matching records will be linked to your account.
- With flexible preference controls, most kinds of communication can be configured to be accessed exclusively via the SchoolMessenger App.
SMS Alerts:
In order to receive SMS text messages to your cell phone, you must “Opt-in” to be sent messages. As parents and guardians, you may have already received a text message inviting you to “opt-in” to the service. If you have not opted in or do not receive the invitation, you may still use this free service! To opt-in at any time from your cell phone simply text “Y” or “Yes” to 67587 (our school short code).
Click here for detailed instructions on how to opt-in in English and Español along with additional Privacy information. We encourage everyone to opt-in as soon as possible to start receiving all alerts from Riverhead Central School district.
If you have questions or concerns or would like to opt-out of messages please reach out to:
