As part of its Parent University series, the Riverhead Central School District will present its second virtual workshop for the 2020-21 school year, titled “Social- Emotional Support for Students and Families,” on Thursday, Feb. 25, at 6 p.m.
The event will feature a live introduction, followed by nine webinars that can be viewed by participants. The workshops will be related to self-care, time management, social-emotional resources for families, mindfulness practices, balancing screen time, understanding teenagers, COVID care and concerns, the power of words and promoting positive behavior.

The Parent University series aims to connect parents with school and community resources and provide information related to challenges parents may face. Additional workshops and seminars featuring a variety of speakers are planned for later this school year.
