The Riverhead Community Awareness Program and T-Mobile recently teamed up to provide nearly 800 earbuds to students at Pulaski Street Elementary School in the Riverhead Central School District to assist with their remote and hybrid learning.

“Many Riverhead students don’t have a dedicated space or enough privacy to fully engage in virtual learning,” said CAP Executive Director Felicia Scocozza. “We are grateful that T-Mobile has partnered with us to help these students succeed in their new learning environment, which has been quite challenging for them.”

John Stevens, vice president of small town rural at T-Mobile, said his company was pleased to provide the earbuds. “Earbuds are one of the tools that can help students concentrate, aid their learning process and help them be more successful overall,” he said.

The district was grateful for the donation. “Pulaski Street is very appreciative of T-Mobile and Riverhead CAP for their donation,” Pulaski Street Principal Patrick Burke said. “CAP continuously finds ways to encourage, support and educate our students on making positive decisions. We are fortunate for our partnership.”
