Riverhead Middle School seventh- and eighth-graders received some valuable lessons during the week of Oct. 1 when they participated in the Say Something program provided by the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office.

Presented to students during their health classes, Say Something is an antibullying and violence prevention program that is based on the Sandy Hook Promise. It aims to raise awareness and teach students to recognize warning signals and speak up when necessary. It also serves to promote kindness and encourages students to always look out for each other.
