Riverhead High School student Taliyah Moore was honored by Transformative Educational Development Services with an AABLE Award, presented during an awards ceremony at the Bellport Country Club on Oct. 27.
“We nominated Taliyah for her outstanding attitude, dedication to community service and leadership skills,” said Eileen Manitta, director of special education for the Riverhead Central School District. “She is hardworking, fun-loving and a caring young lady.”
Outside of school, Moore spends much of her time volunteering at her local church, where she is involved in two choirs. She is also a junior volunteer for Riverhead’s Butterfly Effect Project, a nonprofit organization.
