Odin Matheis Clinches Fourth Annual Chess Championship

Riverhead High School senior Odin Matheis recently won the school’s fourth annual chess championship after emerging victorious in his match against Adolfo Lopez. Over several weeks, competitors throughout the school vied to win the championship, showcasing their determination, strategic thinking, and chess skills. The district congratulates Odin and all of the students who participated in this thrilling tournament. Following graduation, Odin will continue his academic career at Stony Brook University and plans to study psychology.
