The primary purpose of the Maintenance, Grounds and Custodial Operations of the Riverhead Central School District is to provide our students, staff and visitors with a clean, sanitized healthy environment. The duties of the Facilities department include many services, such as shipping, receiving and warehousing, athletic field maintenance and set-ups, mail and package interoffice delivery, mechanical maintenance, program and equipment set-up, preventative maintenance for floors and other areas, painting, groundskeeping, preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment, assisting with student activities, lunch program set-up and clean-up and many other forms of services and duties.
