Pulaski Pep Rally Inspires Pride and Character Excellence
Pulaski PRIDE Program Kicks Off for Students and Staff
RIVERHEAD, NEW YORK (SEPTEMBER 2022) — Pulaski Street Intermediate School kicked off the Pulaski PRIDE Program with an exciting pep rally for students. The Pulaski PRIDE Program encourages students and staff to embody exemplary character traits and academic excellence while expressing school pride.
“The Pulaski PRIDE Program is part of our Positive Behavior Interventions System (PBIS),” said Pulaski Street Intermediate School Principal Patrick Burke. “Through rousing events, such as our pep rally, we all work together to create an inspiring and welcoming environment for our students to learn, grow and succeed in, supported by school spirit and remarkable character.”
Pulaski Street Intermediate School’s pep rally gathered students and staff for an event brimming with enthusiasm, pride and unity. Staff and the District mascot, Rippy the Riptide, generated spectacular excitement from the crowd as they shouted cheers together. Interactive skits with the principals, teachers, security and support staff demonstrated the school’s core character traits of patience, respect, inclusivity, determination, empathy and encouragement, motivating students to emulate these behaviors.
“Our students were thrilled to participate and did a wonderful job displaying their Pulaski pride and the exceptional characteristics that make them great students, peers and leaders,” said Pulaski Street Intermediate School Assistant Principal Callan Lonergan. “We look forward to their continued excitement throughout the rest of the Pulaski PRIDE Program!”
A special thanks is extended to the Pulaski PBIS PRIDE Committee for their hard work on the pep rally and Pulaski PRIDE Program for students and staff.
