Third and fourth grade Language and Enrichment Development students at Phillips Avenue Elementary School recently completed a monthlong reading challenge that bolstered their reading levels and fluency.
For the event, the students completed daily reading challenges by using the learning platform Seesaw. Activities ranged from reading stories under their beds to reading outside with their legs in the air or with a stuffed animal.
“The students had a blast,” said teacher Elizabeth Garavuso.
The students were rewarded for their efforts with certificates and a pizza and ice cream celebration on May 14.
