Students in the Riverhead Central School District celebrated Flag Day on June 14 with a variety of ceremonies and activities. For example, Pulaski Street Elementary students took part in a traditional outdoor Flag Day ceremony, while second graders at Riley Avenue Elementary wrote Flag Day essays and learned more about the history of the American flag and the meaning of its stars and stripes.
