Riverhead High School Rocks All Night Long

Riverhead High School held its first concert combining the school’s band and guitar programs in an exhilarating event called Symphony of Rock. Under the instruction of band director Joseph Randazzo and guitar director Roy Buccola, students performed songs and mashups by rock icons, including covers of the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen, “Enter Sandman” by Metallica, “I Got You (I Feel Good)” by James Brown, “Sweet Caroline” by Neil Diamond, and “Baker Street” by Gerry Rafferty. In addition to showcasing the impressive musical talents of students, the show raised money to help pay for school participation in music competitions.
