The Riverhead Central School District is poised to regenerate its popular Parent University series, which was placed on hold due to COVID-19.
The series will pick up on Thursday, Dec. 3 at 6 p.m. via Zoom. The live session will focus on technology. Topics to be covered will include: Navigating the Seesaw Platform, Digital Resources for Learning, Managing Remote Learning through Clever, Navigating Google Classroom for Parents, and Social-Emotional Learning Resources. Parents wishing to join the session can find login information via the district’s new Parent University page, https://sites.google.com/g.www.riverhead.net/parentuniversity.
All sessions will be recorded for follow-up viewing. Parents are also encouraged to offer suggestions for future Parent University sessions by using the suggestion form located on the Parent University web page.
The Parent University series aims to connect parents with school and community resources and provide information related to challenges parents may face. Additional workshops and seminars featuring a variety of speakers are planned for later this school year.
