Riverhead High School

Important Scholarship Information for the Class of 2020
Dear Members of the Senior class,

Please be advised that since our school closure the Guidance Department has been trying to contact all of our Scholarship Sponsors.  We have been requesting application deadline extensions as well as for them to provide our students with electronic applications that can be sent from RHS students directly to the sponsor.  We also explained that if they require a student transcript, we will provide it to them, upon the student's request.  With our building closed and no mail being received, we have no way to accept student (paper) applications through the traditional mail system.  Prior to leaving on March 12th we secured all scholarship applications that had been dropped off to the Guidance office.  No others have been received by the Guidance Department since that date.

Sponsors have been slowly responding to our calls and providing us with updated directions and procedures for their individual  applications.  Each day we are posting these updates on the RHS Guidance Web page.  You should be checking this site everyday for updates!  Go to guidance click on the link Scholarship and Programs.  If you need a transcript for a scholarship application, please email your guidance counselor and they will provide it.  We will continue to keep you informed of any and all information as soon as it comes forward.  If you have any specific questions, please do not hesitate to email me or your guidance counselor.  We will do our best to help you in any way possible.

Stay healthy,
Mr. Gassar and the Guidance Team at RHS
